Situated on ninety acres of Byron Bay's majestic hinterland, the superbly appointed Cottage reflects the romance and charm of a bygone era.

In winter you'll arrive to the warmth of a crackling wood fire. In summer, a cool breeze often wafts across the valley.

Just sitting on the veranda can be a special experience. Take in the early morning beauty of the mist filled valley. Driving directions to Valleydale Cottage - 26.3 km, approximately 25 mins

1. From Byron Bay, head out to the Pacific Highway at Ewingsdale.  At the round-about, just follow the signs South to Ballina.
2. Go under the overpass, up the hill and past the road on the left to St Heleena.
3. As you get to the top of the hill, you need to be in the right hand lane.
4. At the Lookout at the top of the hill, turn right onto Coolamon Scenic Drive.
5. The sign says, to Whian Whian State Forest & Minyon Falls etc. (It sort of sneaks up on you so be very careful).
6. Stay on this road for approx. 13 Kms.
7. Note: along this road, Coolamon Scenic Drive turns off to the right.  DO NOT TAKE THIS TURN!
8. Continue on over Keys Bridge and to a ”T” intersection, where you Turn Right, to the village of Federal.
9. Approx. 300 mts only, turn right again.  There will be Tennis Courts on your right and you will then pass The Federal Store on your left.
10. Carry on up the hill for about 4 kms. There will be a road off to your left marked Repentance Creek Rd. To Lismore, Rosebank etc.
11. Take this turn. You will come to a road on your right marked Mafeking Rd (Do not take this turn)
12. Go 400mts. further on, “Valleydale” is the 2nd entrance on the right and well signed.
